WARDOGS Season 2 cash and XP: what still pays and what got cut
· 8 min read · AFKDOG Operations

Spotting rewards are down roughly 30% and now scale with the value of what you spotted, which means the Season 1 habit of farming cheap spots from safety no longer pays. Season 2 rebalanced earning around risk and commitment: several base payouts fell, streak bonuses were added for repeated work, and a long list of exploits was closed. Every figure below comes from the official Season 02 patch notes on Steam.
Spotting took the biggest cut
The developer called spotting the lowest-risk, highest-paying way to earn, and reduced it by about 30%. It now scales with the value of each vehicle variant, buildable and crate, so a high-value target pays more than a cheap one. The reward for a spotted target destroyed by an enemy faction dropped from 50% to 25% of the full amount.
Logistics now rewards return trips, not abandonment
Base logistics payouts are lower, but consecutive runs stack a bonus, so the role pays players who keep their vehicle and go back rather than dumping it after one delivery. The new streaks:
- Crates: plus $50 and 25 XP per crate in a row, up to 10
- Pallets: plus $125 and 50 XP per pallet in a row, up to 10
- Players: plus $25 and 5 XP per player in a row, up to 25
- Return trips: plus $50 and 25 XP per trip in a row, up to 10
The base rates those stack on top of came down:
- Player delivered $150 to $100, XP 50 to 25
- Player delivered by ground vehicle $500 to $350
- Return trip by ground vehicle $250 to $150, XP 100 to 50
- Deploy supply crate: small $500 to $250, large $1,000 to $500
- Deploy supply pallet $2,500 to $1,250, XP 500 to 400
New ways to get paid
Several actions that previously paid nothing now do, and they all reward teamplay:
- Assault kill bonus raised: kills with an assault archetype weapon $1,500 to $2,000
- FOB hacking now also pays teammates inside the FOB radius $1,000 and 250 XP, while the hacker still receives $2,500 and 250 XP
- Door breached with a Halligan Bar pays $100, once per door, and Halligan Bar uses rose from 5 to 7
- Closing a friendly FOB door pays $75
- Destroying a FOB pays a bonus of up to $7,500 and 250 XP, scaled by the supplies it held, maxing out at 25,000 supplies
That FOB destruction bonus is the largest single new payout in the patch, and it is deliberately tied to how stocked the target was. Hitting a well-supplied FOB is now worth planning around.
The exploits that got closed
This is the part worth reading if your Season 1 income came from a repeatable trick, because most of them no longer work:
- Spotting rewards scale with build progress, so unfinished buildables cannot be farmed
- Destroying a buildable pays according to how built it was
- Selling from a supply crate has diminishing returns per buyer, until you break even with no profit or XP
- Selling to an enemy player, for instance after they switch teams, pays nothing
- Destroying an empty enemy crate pays half cash and half XP
- FOB Supplied Assist is now split between assisting players rather than paid in full to each
Where the money is now
The pattern across all of it is that Season 2 pays for risk, commitment and teamplay, and stopped paying for repetition from safety. Sustained logistics runs with an intact vehicle, assault kills, FOB work and genuinely valuable spots are up in relative terms even where base numbers fell. If you want in-game cash without running the routes yourself, our Wardogs cash service farms it by hand in fixed increments, never duplicated, and the Wardogs farming hub covers cash, class XP and item grinds together.
Frequently asked
Why did spotting rewards get reduced in WARDOGS Season 2?
The developer described spotting as the lowest-risk, highest-paying way to earn in Season 1. Rewards were cut by about 30% and now scale with the value of what you spot, so marking a cheap buildable pays far less than marking an expensive vehicle.
How do logistics delivery streaks work?
Consecutive deliveries stack a bonus on each run. Crates add $50 and 25 XP each up to ten in a row, pallets $125 and 50 XP up to ten, players $25 and 5 XP up to twenty-five, and return trips $50 and 25 XP up to ten. Base payouts were lowered, so the streak is where the value sits.
What is the biggest new cash reward in Season 2?
Destroying a FOB, which now pays a bonus of up to $7,500 and 250 XP on top of the existing reward. The amount scales with the supplies the FOB held and maxes out at 25,000 supplies, so a well-stocked target is worth considerably more than an empty one.
Can you still make money selling from supply crates?
Only up to a point. Sales now have diminishing returns per buyer, and after enough sales you break even with no profit or XP at all. Selling an item to an enemy player, such as someone who has just switched teams, pays no cash or XP.
Did any cash rewards go up in Season 2?
Yes. The assault kill bonus rose from $1,500 to $2,000, FOB hacking now also pays teammates in the radius $1,000 and 250 XP, and three new actions pay for the first time: breaching a door with a Halligan Bar, closing a friendly FOB door, and the scaled FOB destruction bonus.
