The curve here is unusually flat
Helldivers levels come from mission completion rather than an experience table that doubles, so level 149 costs about four times level 2 rather than three hundred times. If you have come from a game where the last ten levels are half the grind, this is not that, and the price says so.
What levels actually unlock
Ship module tiers and a handful of stratagems, which is less than people expect. Most of what makes a Helldiver effective is the loadout and the difficulty they can survive, not the number next to their name. Buy levels if something specific is gated behind one.
