What we run
MMR climbs priced by the points between where you are and where you want to be. The ten calibration games a new account only gets once. Ranked wins, Battle Cup runs and role queue tokens. Behaviour score, out of the low-score pool. The low priority games standing between you and normal matchmaking. And an hour with an Immortal if you would rather learn it.
Priced per MMR, because Dota shows you the number
Your MMR is on your profile to the point. A medal is a band drawn over it, 154 points a star up to Divine and 200 after, so charging per medal charges the same whether you need thirty points or three hundred. Everything here is priced by the distance, which you can check against your own client before you order and after.
MMR and behaviour score are different problems
One decides what rank you hold. The other decides who you are put in a game with, and below about three thousand it puts you with everybody else below three thousand. They move independently, nothing on the rank page touches the second, and a lot of accounts that feel unwinnable have a behaviour problem rather than a skill one.
