Why do pistols and snipers cost more?

Longer unlock tracks per weapon. That is the reference pricing too, and it is the one place where a smaller-looking class is the dearer order.

Battlefield 6 Weapons FAQ

Yes, that is the product. Mastery and camos are tied to individual weapons, so doing one gun and calling it a class would be a quarter of the job.

Customer ratingbased on 3,886 reviewsRead reviews

Mastery is per weapon, not per class

Levelling "assault rifles" means levelling every assault rifle, because that is what the attachments and camos are tied to. A row that quietly did one gun would look identical on this page and be a quarter of the product, so each class row says every weapon in the class and means it.

What a levelled weapon actually gives you

Sights, magazines, muzzles and grips, and on this game they matter more than most: a gun without its attachments is a different weapon at range. Pistols and sniper rifles cost more here than the other classes because their unlock tracks are longer, which is the reference’s own pricing too.
